By extrapolating how there will be a BF2042 specific NVME (PCIe4), I can assume the game will support Direct Storage when launched or shortly after. Knowing how DICE loves to push boundaries of technology with their flagship games I would be surprised if DS will not be supported or built into the game in a way.
Would be fairly surprised if most major studios *didn't* support this out the gate when windows 11 launches, if they don't already to some degree.
Don't have the tinkering time anymore to just sit and fiddle with a pre-launch windows build, but someone on here might be using 11 and could speak up once the non-NDA'd BF builds hit the masses.

Actually I'm with Windows 11 latest build and used it with a PCIe4 NVME during the tech test. Would love to share my findings when able. Also, Direct Storage will be supported with Windows 10 1909 - MS recently added the support to Win10 as well.
