Missing Solo&Coop vs AI Map Sections and Features

Why can't we play all versions of maps?

I've been enjoying helicopters in the map Breakaway on the mode Breakthrough; That is, until I realized that I'm always on the version where you start by the explodable silos and never my favorite icy area with the large crevices and icebergs. Does this happen to other maps as well? Why can't we start on the icy part of Breakaway?

Why are we stuck as attackers in breakthrough?

Can we please choose defenders before loading in or something?

Can we have AI as squadmates please?

It would be nice to have squadmates that you can spawn to or have them spawn on you, no matter the vehicle. This is a huge part of battlefield, yet we can't have AI squadmates for some unknown reason.

Why do bots never respond to any menu requests?

Just like the lack of squadmates issue, this is something else that should help with teamwork. I don't expect every single bot on the map to run to me and shower me with ammo and health, but I would think one nearby would come help me.

Why do bots only spawn on me when I'm in a transport vehicle?

It's frustrating to be forced to land my attack heli and hope a bot decides to get in; Sometimes they do, sometimes they just ignore me. Bots will completely ignore me when I'm in the Nightbird

    @Jollytrolley You can select maps and ai levels by pressing F in the mode selection menu, bring up the setting. You can not choose team right now, so always the same side. These AI does not look like next gen to me, movements maybe better than bf2, others just trash. They don't respond to player menu requests, very much like multiplayer. I wish there is squad management in the game, missing feature.
  • Oh yeah, I know we can change maps. My specific issue besides being stuck on attacker is that we get some other version of Breakaway where we don't start on the "icy area". Think of it this way: Picture a triangle. The tip of the triangle is the final point where you work your way across the bridge and onto the base. The bottom right part of the triangle is where we start in co-op by the silos. The bottom left part of the triangle is the icy area I mentioned and is where attackers start in multiplayer. Both starting places have the same final point at the base across the bridge, but we can't choose which version we start at for some reason. Some of the other things you mentioned is just reiterating what was in my original post. Hopefully some of the things we're after get looked at!

  • Huh, interesting. Now I wonder why we can't choose between the versions still, unless having that many AI messes with things. It still feels odd to force us into a smaller version of maps when it should be the full game just like multiplayer. Thanks for the info.

    @Jollytrolley You are welcome, AI is limited to 60 in both solo/coop and portal. I'd like to have more as well.
