Your right in that you want to be able to release instances to reduce your overall costs, and to do that you would need the game instances to be stopped.
but the game instances could easily be configured to run for a full map rotation and then rollover.
So in a way it’s more to do with effort and configuration. I.e can the be bothered. Than a restriction introduced by scaling architecture, or costs.
Well if isn't cost related, somebody at DICE should definitely be bothered enough to get rid of MM asap and do us all a favour, for me it is killing the game.
