Mods?

I understand that people hate this game. I understand that there isn't enough content (yet). Considering these, why haven't people made mods yet? I thought that was what some  people generally did when they bought a game they don't like.

*DISCLAIMER* I don't really know anything about mods. If I'm completely wrong about how simple it can be, or if Dice has intentionally made it incredibly difficult for moders, please feel free to tell me.

    @Haiku79 Online and Live service games are generally harder to mod than normal games, and stuff like easy anticheat prevents modifying of game files i believe.

    Until BF2042 gets offline mode and people get their hands dirty it'll never happen.

    There are mods for older Battlefields so it is entirely possible on the frostbite engine, however it's probably not as Modder friendly of an engine like Unity or Unreal Engine.

    Mods arent an easy thing to do.  Lots of time and effort is needed as a rule.  The other thing is that with the questionable success of this release and the dying player base it could be very difficult to even find someone who would put in the time to please a few people.  Please don't get me wrong, I would like to see it happen but not expecting to see it happen.
