Music for all people, is about changing your mood. You listen to depressive descending tunes, your mood will go downhill as well.
Happy music tends to ascend, makes a bright day mood, all shiny.
Imagine a situation : Some people meet. You shade camera, you add music that signals something bad is around the corner. On the other hand, you dont give any extra shading, put in some happy mood music, all is gonna work nice ... it is going to change your perception especially when you are unaware that music is playing in order to make you connect positive/negative attitudes toward same things based only on music.

Music is an essential part of propaganda/manipulation by media.
I always turn the music off in shooter games. I want to hear the battle sounds, not a soundtrack.
