My Heart is in Your Hind
Since the release of BF 2042, it's fair to say I've dedicated an immense amount of my time to the game, perhaps to an unhealthy degree. Little did I know, my intense focus on the game was intertwined with an undiagnosed form of ADHD and anxiety that has been a part of my life for longer than I realized.
For me, BF 2042 became more than just a pastime; it became a sanctuary where I could immerse myself fully, particularly in the role of piloting transports like the Hind and Condor. In a game initially lacking widespread appeal, these vehicles captured my attention like nothing else. While others may have gravitated towards conquest, I found my passion in Breakthrough, where the challenge of piloting these transports took on a unique dimension.
What kept me returning to the game day after day, more than anything else, were the dynamics of piloting. It wasn't just about skill; it was about orchestrating support for my team's ground efforts, navigating threats, and outmaneuvering opponents. My role as a transport pilot became a source of pride, even garnering recognition from fellow players who saw my prowess as a missed opportunity for content creation.
But last night, amidst struggles with updates and technical glitches, I received a devastating blow: the removal of transports from Breakthrough. It was a gut punch, a sudden loss of something that had become integral to my experience of the game. As I combed through maps in disbelief, the reality sank in.
I understand that I'm just one player among many, and my attachment to these vehicles may seem trivial to some. Yet, for me, it's a significant loss, one that leaves me searching for closure. I'm not here to demand changes or stir up controversy; I simply hope for understanding and perhaps an explanation from those behind the decision.
So, as I come to terms with this unexpected turn of events, I extend a heartfelt plea: if there's a reason behind this decision, please share it with me. Not for validation or justification, but for the closure it may bring. Thank you.
