The operating range of the drones is simply far too high. If they can't fly as far, you can't take advantage of that.
@DonidonIn the beta the range was horrible, totally useless, now they are useful.
People want to remain hidden all game so they can gank people uncontested, this leads to pure unfun chaos, an unorganised mess.
Having the ability to spot people through drones or proxy balls creates battle lines, it organises the chaos into a playable and less frustrating state.
And no I don't want to be stuck in a Bush operating my drone all game, I like to move with my team, I was combining proxy balls and my drone, by throwing proxy balls on the flag and then scanning the outer area of the flag for incoming hostiles, the enemy can do the same, this is modern warfare, intel is King.
A fear is that reducing xp too much will deter this valuable team resource from been used.
