maybe you should take your time and look which details are in BF2042
and sometimes there are explosion and smokes that you can’t see anything…
but hey if you like BF4 that’s fine it can still be played so have fun
@CountSeroIf people are this complement with 2042 then this is exactly the reason why the game 8 years on from BF4 is worse off. EA/Dice know they can give you a vastly substandard product and you guys will lap it up like my cat drinking her milk right now.
Expect better, demand better and you will get a game worth of 2021, Worthy of the name BF and worth of a £100 price tag. Accept trash and you get call of battlefield with no soul.
I got an EA Survey a few days ago, one of first questions was " have you recommended people to NOT buy BF 2042 " this is how screwed they are when that is jus tone of many questions they ask weeks after launch. trust me i filled out the entire thing in detail.
check out my WW3 Char https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2E-bfRmNr8&ab_channel=Gisborne
- 4 years ago@AdamChattaway I'm not interested in WW3 but if you like the game have you supported them? have bought the "Major CBT pack" (around 260€)? or have you only bought the main game (around 13€)?
In my opinion the content of BF2042 is huge withe AoW, Hazard Zone and Portal
Also, the portal mode gives you so many options but then you need to put some time into it to make a server you like or to find one which first your preference
Even beside the bug and missing QoL I have my fun with it and at the moment I play only AoW
If you don’t have fun, it is ok but if the game doesn’t fit you expectation or preference it not the fault of EA or DICE, not every game is made for every player (this is why I not buying CoD since MW3)
Its seems that some so called Fans\Veterans are expecting that every game of a franchise is made for them.... but hey guess what, no!
Every developer also wants to pull in new players they are needed becuase Fans\Veterans are getting less as the franchise lives on.... (becuase lack of Time, Age, Family and so on...)

@CountSeroA lot of what you say is soo wrong though
Yes i've paid for WW3.
You say it's not ea/dice's fault that i don;t like battlefield 2042? is this maybe because they made it into a call of duty not a BF game? and offered far less content than BF4 and didn;t include a SP game, where did all this time and money go from no SP campaign? exactly.
You list HZ and Portal as content, do I buy a battlefield game for a tacked on Battle Royal or Portal to play a couple of maps from past games? They should have not made HZ or Portal and put all that time into making more 204 maps, weapons and features. and classes.
"Its seems that some so called Fans\Veterans are expecting that every game of a franchise is made for them.... but hey guess what, no!" Are you serious? of course BATTELFIELD FANS want a Battlefield game.
Do you know why cod does so well every year with cod players? because it's COD. If they turned COD into Halo do you think they would all continue to buy it? nope, If they turned Halo infinite into battlefield do you think the fans would play it? nope. EA/Dice though ooo look we can add specialists to sell skins and make a BR and season passes to milk.
"Every developer also wants to pull in new players they are needed because Fans\Veterans are getting less as the franchise lives on.... (because lack of Time, Age, Family and so on...)" No they just want to make a cheap as possible £100 game sell it and then move on to the next release. this is why I can never take season pass or progression seriously in a game that launches every year or two as then everything you worked for it a waste.BF 2042 should have been a full on sco fi game with huge maps, 128 players that have TITANS from their old game flying around the maps and attacking each other, launching missiles at each other, players having to board them etc. that's how a real dev would have made the game. titans blowing up and crashing into the ground and changing the map, not tornados that just annoy you for a few minds then vanish.
- 4 years ago@AdamChattaway far less or cut content? You got AoW, you got Hazard Zone and with Portal they gave you a powerful tool to create your own experience. It also contains content from BF1942, BFBC2 and BF3 (vehicle, weapon, mechanics and some maps)
As I said before if you don't like Hazard Zone or Portal is not DICE fault, they put in something new and there are many players that like it
It seems that you had very high expectations and personal preferences and you get disappointed that your demands got not fulfilled...
I don't miss a single player campaign, don't played it in BF1 and BF5. imho the best story and single player we got in BFBC 1 & 2 and BF3 was ok and in BF4 the stars already falling
Also, that there is no single player campaign was known upfront...
And as I said before not every game is made for every one
CoD has lost me after MW3 and guess why? Because they were going in a direction that not match my preferences and expectation... so I have spoken with my wallet and didn’t bought it since then but its seems that other players are liking what CoD has become and that’s is ok. But I don’t go out into public and complain about it…
EA is a big Company and every company tries to create income but DICE is only one studio of many owned by EA. Each game has a budget to create and maintain for around 2 years (I guess). And if this game can’t create enough income, they will pull the plug.
BF3, BF4, BF1 are still playable and they are still hosting master and game severs but these games are not really creating income anymore... so players of these games should be happy that related to the costs created by maintaining this services that they still can playing 8 years after release...
You don't like season passes and that’s ok but, in my opinion, this is an easy way to create income to keep the game alive and put out new content. And nobody is forcing you to buy season passes anyway…
If you look back to the old games the Player base was divided into the group which bought the map packs and the group which didn’t bought.
Unfortunately, this splits the player base and not every map were played as much as before. And if the real-life kicks in and you don’t find the time when the map pack is released you then you may be unlucky that you can’t make all assignments to unlock weapons or gadget…(because nobody playing it...)
This happens in BF4 and BF1 so they changed it in BF V in the way that every map is playable for every player no matter which version you bought… But in the end, this didn’t work out because without additional income you can’t support a game over years… and guess what some players weren’t pleased that they have dropped the support for BF V
Now they have chosen the way with a game as a service to build the base for a long-time support and guess what, some players again weren’t pleased.
DICE can do what they want in the moment and they can’t please everyone.
A Halo with 128 player more vehicles and epic battles? I think many Halo fans can see this but imo Halo always was a Single player\Coop game for me and not a main Multiplayer Shooter which is BF for me.
“BF 2042 should have been...“ see you have expectation which are not fulfilled but hey you can expecting what you want but I still enjoying BF2042 and time will tell what DICE will bring us…
See you on the Battlefield
