Though there isn't concrete confirmation about the switch to a new engine, it does appear that EA is continuously improving the Frostbite engine for future Battlefield games. Despite the mix of feedback for Battlefield 2042, the Frostbite engine has consistently been a flagship of visual and performance innovation.
