I hope there is a Ban Wave incoming , if not then the new AC is total * and worse than EAC
If so then look forward to this game and any future BF game getting ruined by cheats and really not worth even trying to play or purchase any new game.
Not sure if its the engine they use but i remember the BF1 Beta riddled with cheats and that was before the game came out of beta so they need to do something as BF2042 has been a disaster up to now and just as they have turned things around if they let the cheats run rampant then they may as well forget the franchise ever doing well again.
The major problem with EA Anticheat is EA manually investigates each reported cheater before maybe banning them.
From my experience a manual investigation take about 2 weeks. So that's 2 weeks of cheating before maybe getting banned. I've seen some cheaters with hundreds of cheat accounts when searching their name in the EA app.
Easy Anti-Cheat on the other hand seems to make it harder for cheaters to bypass the anti-cheat, detects more bypass attempts, and bans cheaters faster.
I honestly don't know why EA switched from Easy Anti-Cheat since it's a free service.
My personal plan is to buy a ps5 and turn crossplay off.
It's about finding balance in an unbalanced world with all that entails.

- @OskooI_007 Hi - I doubt very much that EAC is a free service - no one does anything for free in this world. Next if what you write is true then its fair fight over again = useless. You need something that looks at client side - alterations of files and the like. This need to be on auto basis - like anti virus - imagine whenever you got strange mail - a person had to scan and look at it - impossible. BF2042 has never been like this. Admit new map that calls for close quater combat so quick reflexes is must - but here people see through smoke - no Rao hack and no blasco / paik since those you know. Then there is blasco - according to reading - undetectable and yet they know everything. Go for youtube and google cheat bf2042 and sort for latest week / month and see - 5 days ago what you can do - scary * !
It's too early to tell how well EA's anticheat works, and they've probably been careful to ban during the week they had a free trial campaign so as not to scare off potential customers.
Wait until a possible ban wave, you usually notice here on the forums how well it works when people are innocently banned and all kinds of background programs suddenly start to mess up after weeks of playing.
One thing is certain, it will not be cheat-free with today's AC. They do just enough that if those who care about these things continue to play, albeit with a little whining, then they have done enough.
And so, it starts.

The problem will then be finding enough players, unfort. Both on PS and Xbox it is nigh on impossible to find a match with Crossplay off.
