New Railgun is very unbalanced
Why would you ever pick the DXR or any other sniper over this? This sniper has no bullet drop, extremely high velocity, and it can damage vehicles, making the ntw obsolete. Not to mention you can get...

I'll wait until it's actually released before I get outraged.
A trailer is always going to show it in the best possible light. They probably had a zillion clips to choose from and picked the most exciting ones.
It'll be the shiny new toy at launch so we need to give it at least a week or two for the meta to die down before we start calling for nerfs.
- @TTZ_DipsyDo we even know if it’s a pick up gun like in 4, or is it going to be an inventory weapon that we can access anytime we want? Is the ammo infinite or do you need to get ammo? There’s so much we don’t know yet. The only reason to call for a nerf before we try it is Dice has a clear history of creating things that are unbalanced AF 😉
It's not a Battlefield pickup, it'll be available to everyone, it may end up being OP but the amount of hyper-ventilating I see about it is worth the price, lol.

Dice, any chance we can NOT nerf a weapon before it is released?
I played with a guy last night who went 42/0 in a jet in air superiority. If I clipped the video and people watched, they would scream "Nerf the Jet immediately", even though this specific player is in the top 0.1% of jet fighters, and the other 99% of us can't even go 10/0 on a good night.
Point being, some players are just much, much better than others with certain weapons, so until Dice gets internal data from 100,000 sample of players, watching a single pro clip of anything is statistically meaningless.
Thus we just need to wait a few weeks to find out the verdict...no need to cancel the railgun...👿

One good thing about the Rail gun is that it shows the 2042 community is evolving into a proper battlefield community again where most people are talking about OP guns and vehicles instead of the old boring "not real battlefield" nonsense.
Why is it hitscan though? It's a railgun, not a laser.

People should also bare in mind that that is an edited video showing the 'best bits'......
It may prove to be OP and it will definitely be overused but I agree, plenty of time should be given to allow the novelty to wear off before objective changes are considered.
That said, it does look rediculous!
We should just wait and see...
I'm not saying this gun is balanced, i say we can only try to guess on such video, and will see by ourself. maybe the "charging" time before shooting will make this gun awfull to play for most players. Magnum 44 have a small delay before firing (trigger action) and many players hate it even if the revolver is powerfull.
It's a montage from a professional gamer using a high end top PC.
You've never seen a vidéo showing a fantastic tool and then tried it by yourself to see it might be more difficult than the video made you think ?
Personally when i watch RAVIC i'm pretty sure the GVT 45-70 is OP... then i play it by myself and don't think soo.
We will see tomorrow if it is OP! Can't wait to try it and the new map.
