New Railgun is very unbalanced
Why would you ever pick the DXR or any other sniper over this? This sniper has no bullet drop, extremely high velocity, and it can damage vehicles, making the ntw obsolete. Not to mention you can get...

I've played with this gun for a fair bit now (Just over 300 kills when writing this) and its not OP God Gun as everyone thought it would be. Full auto is pretty useless. Firing delays + high recoil + low RPM + small 20 bullet mag means you're not running and gunning at all. If someone catches you, they win. Burst fire is the most effective mode by far. You get faster RPM when burst firing (Compared to full auto), burst is 5 bullets meaning if you have good aim you instantly kill someone at medium ranges. At close range once again, you must have a leg up on the opponent because of they fire first, chances are you're dead. Thankfully there are alot of blueberries out there who cant hit anything, so I had plenty of instances where I 180d people in a split second when they were behind me. Finally a sniper mode. By far most BS, ridiculous and rage-inducing mode of this weapon. Having the ability to turn your wanna-be AR into a hit scan sniper rifle that can destroy vehicles is something else. Couple of times I pew pew wiped squads from 100s of meters away. Other times I bullied Condor and RAMs to death when poor things were running away on fire with 15% HP and couldn't make it. I killed a condor at around 1000m which is quite insane. If you get a squad of 4 railguns, you can go full-time vehicle hunting with it. Killing pilots if a JOY with this thing. Even strafing jets have to take care now because if they get too close or go at too steep of an angle, you can easily snipe the pilot. All in all I think this is a great weapon. Not too OP like AS VAL was during S1 or Avancys and ScarH is right now. It requires skill and has the potential for some ridiculous clils and plays. I think someone like Ravic is having a field day right now. I can expect some crazy clips from that monster. Hopefully, get it to Tier 1 tomorrow and then will check out the new tank. Personally I enjoy the full auto mode so far. I manage to tame the recoil just enough to get a satisfying number of kills.
If you land all the shots in burst mode it will kill the target too in 1 burst.
The delay trigger handicaps the gun exactly as much as needed for it to not be the best gun for all the jobs.
It is the best example of the term jack of all trades master of none.
I can see this gun becoming a major source of headaches for stealth helicopters and I think it is about time too :D

Imagine thinking a hitscan sniper that anyone can use being able to gun down vehicles isn’t unbalanced. This is turning into BF1 with all its lowskill BS.
Its a pretty sick gun. Its not over the top and fun. This game got so much better a year later. Im having a blast!

Yeah makes me happy too, Stealth Helicopters have been a right pain up to now.
In the update notes I saw they also buffed the NWT vs armor.
Increased NTW-50 Damage against Light Vehicles slightly with Anti Materiel ammo and substantially increased with Anti Materiel High Power ammo
Has anyone tried the buffed NWT yet? How does it compare to the railgun for harassing armor?

me too 😁 so they wanted to stuff rao into recon class. ok. sucks that i can't use stinger anymore. recon gets ability that makes sniper rifles easier to use. ok. added railgun...interesting.
*checks notes* rail gun is considered sniper rifle. interesting. might be fun way to screw with stealth helos. we will see
will also be fun to annoy camping tanks and jeeps/wildcats. they can't just sit on a hill in their spawn
