Today, I finally took some time to play the new patch and the new map. 
I think, this map is good. Not perfect, but is it possible, to do a perfect map for everyone? For me as infantry player, I like it. Vehicles are not that superior anymore. 
Point A: Looks good, I like it to fight here
Point B: Even better, feels like a very well designed forest
C1 / C2: The verticality is not that important as it was in Zavod, so thumbs up for that. I still think the RU side has a slight advantage here, as it is easier for them, to go up the building. The AA is very good there, not overpowered, as it can be shot down with 2 rockets from other points. Very effective against helicopters
D: Problematic, only three entrances. If US sneakes into the point, it is very easy for them to hold the point. RU has to use more force and is hardly able to get D back... takes the flow out of the map, think either a more open point or even more entrances would help here
E: Don't like this point, you sit in the middle and will get shot down from all around, hate the point
I think as vehicle player, this map is very hard to play, as everywehre are standing wagons, debris and so on, there are choke points and so mines are very effective. Helicopters are good to counter, as they can't hide that efficient. 
All in all, I like the map, I like the narrow design, the map has a clear pathing, still has options to flank, verticality is limited. Need some more rounds to see, if it is balanced, but I think this map is one of the best BF2042 maps. 
Still, destruction is what this game lacks, I hope in next BF titles, it is back. Loved it in BF5, beside the fortification. And especially on this map, I often thought "this would be great, if I could fortificate my position for better defense". 
Keep up the good work, most of the time, I enjoyed playing today. 
To the rest of the patch:
Like it very much, favorite part is, that the vault weapons now have a purpose to be played, and better attachments. I like the feeling of the ARs more, as they are less precise, still I would like to see a more effective use of burst fire. Still, a big step forward. 
Keep it up, I think the game improves significantly over time. If you look at the release state and compare it with this now, oh boy, just impressive.
