New Year, so many cheaters
A month ago I started listing down every cheater and started reporting them. Most of them have a 95% headshot rate making the game terrible and one-sided. I notice that they do disappear, or at least...
I have noticed some suspicious activity lately. Getting head shots from silly angles and places. To be honest PC needs to be taken off console servers all together as p players are a pain and awkward to beat 1 on 1.
Hi
the other day I got mail from EA - thanking me for taking time to report someone. They have taken action to that person (no name of course). Just telling you - it do help to report but guess the amount of cheaters vs the time it takes to check someone (they do need to be 100 % certain before they ban someone) can seem like they do nothing.
As they state several times - we need to report - and that is all we can do.
With that said I do play a lot on Redacted map and yes - I do see strange things - all knowing people - but still I do think the majority of them are related to all the latency and running servers on cloud and not dedicated servers as in old days. This is the biggest problem in this game !
As far as I know, it has looked like this since BF3, which was my first experience with this game series.
The more I got into the game, the more I noticed that there was a lot that was not right with many players, then I'm not talking about lag, which I was well familiar with from other games.
At the time, even the cheaters came onto the forums and downplayed the problem of cheating by gaslighting that anyone who brought it up was suffering from the Dunning–Kruger effect.
If you look back, maybe it was already so bad then, that the distribution of cheaters and non-cheats had grown to close to 50-50%, then the distribution in the threads in the forum looked like that as well.
But now this seems to have changed, as you never see anyone defending the cheat in an indirect way. Maybe because this balance has tipped over a long time ago, and silence has becomes their best weapon to not attract attention, or in combination with EA-Play. It is not as economically sensible in the short term, to be banned today, as to lose the entire account like in the old days.
EA sees all the reports that come in, and are very well aware of your problem. I think they are trying to adjust this just enough, that they are in balance with the complaints and what the business demands, no more or less.
