Teamwork shooters are now deemed "Milsims' far too niche for todays playerbase who prefer, cartoonish characters, Live services with Battlepass cosmetics locked behind an online shop! 🤔
Like the SUV market EA/DICE will go where the margin is

EA is not a non profit org, although some people may argue that their product design results in such. Ego games make money. It is the player base that has to change this. If the player base values teamwork more then ego, then the paradigm will shift.

Teamwork shooter sounds great on paper, but really difficult to make work.
1) I think you have to accept that a large portion of the player base just isn't going to be interested in teamwork. DICE would need a system that would identify those players interested in teamwork and squad them together.
2) With Battlefield being a sandbox shooter there's going to be a lot of incompatible playstyles. Those squads of 'teamwork' players would also have to take into consideration playstyle compatibility.
3) People have different motivations/strategic goals. Some people just want action, kills, KDR. Some people just want to work on some specific achievement/Battlepass progress. Some people actually want to win the game - perhaps by prioritizing backcapping or central objectives. So your squad of teamwork minded players with compatible playstyles also needs to be on the same page with their motivations/goals ...and how they go about achieving those goals.
I've played enough Battlefield over the years to have had the pleasure of playing on squads that click on all of these areas. 10/10 fun. Some of my best memories.
I'm not really sure how to solve all the problems above, but I don't think throwing gadgets/points at the problem will be enough. Maybe some future Battlefield game will have an intelligent squadmaking system that keeps a profile on each player and throws compatible squadmates together.

GOD NO, NO INTELLIGENT MATCHMAKING FGS!!!
Just look at MW2019. Every game became almost copy-and-paste. Literally algoryth is working "so good", that is gathering "compatible squadmates (players) together", that every match plays the same.
Unless you will reverse boost yourself back to kindergarten lobbys.
What BF needs instead is good tools for making small communities or groups of players gathering and playing together. Platoons/clans sytem, auto suggeting last teammates for invitation for playing together.
INSTEAD OF MM - work over teambalancer.

I'm not asking for SBMM.
I'm suggesting that instead of randomly assigning people to squads - that is after the players have already been assigned to a server - that the game would assign players to squads based on compatible playstyles.
A player who shows a history of repairing tanks/sitting in the gunner seat should be matched with a tanker main.

Actually, Battlefield could get a second wind, thanks to whole BR craziness. Those games also shows their true potential in squad-based matches.
But 2042 screwed it up by reducing tools for squad menagement... not talking about rest of mistakes they made.
