@m8v8io6ojhup We don't really know yet and will likely have to wait until EA/Dice officially announce it.
EA setup Ridgeline Studios in Seattle for the stated purpose of developing the 'storytelling' side of the Battlefield universe.
That sounds like they are pretty committed to making Battlefield more narrative driven.
My guess is that we'll see more heros and more narrative elements in the future as Ridgeline's work bleeds over to the PvP experience

We do not know.
But we have agreed that if they do not deliver something excellent as the next game, they will lose a lot of trustA good game needs both good ideas and to be given enough time to cook

Battlefield =/= Hero shooter
So no next Battlefield or any Battlefield can ever be a hero shooter, they might call it that but it still wouldn't be Battlefield.
- ATFGunr2 years agoLegend@doubleome Agreed, 2042 is a hero shooter already and look at the debacle it’s been, especially for PC players. Let other games be hero shooters, let BF be BF.
