Nice recoil fix - but effective TTK is perhaps a little too low now.

I know that I will probably get some hate for this, but I think that the gunplay has become too 'good' (I play on PC btw).

The recoil-fix has really improved the gunplay a lot, aiming has become easier after the patch and the effective range of weapons have increased a lot (at least LMGs/ARs).

The gunplay really feels good, but combined with the awful netcode, any chance of escaping gun-fire has almost disappeared now. The TTD feels more like playing hardcore BF than 'normal' BF.

I'm personally not a fan of a lot of spread (like BF1/BF4) but then perhaps some randomness to recoil (I know that is bad too, but still better than spread), like in BFV.

BFV ended up having good gun-play with reasonable TTK/TTD and perhaps they should look more at how that was balanced.

@doubleome The net code issue does not help either. A post earlier also mentioned head glitching cover as a problem as well. One of the biggest factors IMO is there are not that many high-skill weapons in the game, they are just point-and-spray for 75 percent of them. You should not be able to bounce around like you are on a pogo stick and still land headshots 100m away with an LMG or sniper rifle. I know it is not a mil simulator but they should factor some realism in standing takes away shooting accuracy by multitudes, let alone running and jumping with a weapon.

@RaginSam Seems like the best idea. Just a bullet or two more would make all the difference

It would be good if Dice set up a CTE to test out different TTK's to work out at what point the netcode starts to buckle or matchmake via ping?

They already have community members installing damage logs for in game data, make it a prerequisite to instal and submit your results, in return the participant gets a unique skin or some Boins.
  • Speaking historically about changing TTK on Battlefield hasn't been the most positive feedback that's been given from the commuinty. Are you sure you want this changed?

Do you want to take 1 more bullet before death, two? Why do you want to see the change?

Is it you shooting the person or you dying that you like to be changed?

@EA_Atic If I had to choose between making guns feel worse or increasing TTK, I’d always pick increasing TTK.

I think it’s pretty spot on where it’s at. The optimal TTK is pretty low, but that’s optimal. Most opponents are moving around and not making themselves easy targets. The other component of this is map design. Which is getting better with the added cover.

I don’t want a game where half of the guns are basically unusable because of insane recoil and spread. It doesn’t raise the skill ceiling, it’s just one single aspect of a shooter, one particular skill. Positioning, awareness, game knowledge are way more important than how well I can yank my mouse down.

    @EA_Atic I'd like the TTK/TTD to match.

I won't go into what the game experience is like, there's a 113 page thread that goes into what the game experience is like.

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Hit-reg-issues-TTK-vs-TTD-inconsistency/td-p/11115087/jump-to/first-unread-message

What I would like is an improved performance, whether that was in the form of more bullets to kill, spread or recoil, ping locked servers, I don't really care.

If I may ask what was the feedback from the damage logs community members provided?
