@mac167_pI’m sure it’s by design. DICE is doing the same thing on Flashback Rush over on Portal.
On several of the maps only the attackers get a Condor. No vehicles at all for defenders. Defenders get farmed via 40mm or 50mm on those tiny BF3 Rush maps. It’s absolutely miserable for defenders.
The obvious answer to any long time BF player/fan would be to utilize the Blackhawk as an air taxi for attackers. But for whatever reasons DICE is hell bent on going with the Hind/Condor AC130 Gunship simulators even as the franchise is listing, burning and taking on water.
It’s obvious DICE doesn’t play by their own game.
They do not play the game like actual players do. They goof around and test things, but are not actually playing strategically.
In every mode, both teams should have access to the same types of vehicles and aircraft. Defenders get steamrolled 90% of the time anyway as most objectives have very little cover or defensive positions that provide any benefit over the attackers. Then when you add in free airspace for attackers, and it is game over. If the defenders try to concentrate against air, they are overrun by armor and infantry.
Defenders need air support.
