is it also by design that 128 CQ gets just 1 attack aircraft?
might as well go back to playing OP locker on BF4 if everything is pretty much just infantry play....

@SpudBugthe nightbirds were just as annoying in their own way with the pre patch rocket spam.
The nightbirds are also a pain for the jet to see because they are so freaking small. But the fix for aircraft is always more aircraft to distract or destroy them with
- spudbug3 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_Hawxxeye Constant lock ons from every player being able to pick fxaa and change loadout on the fly with angel crate is annoying too. But people only care if infantry is annoyed.
- UP_Hawxxeye3 years agoLegend@SpudBug it is either frustrating for the ground when the pilot manages to invalidate the lock ons with line of sight and frustrating for the pilot if they cannot manage to use line of sight.
There is so little middle ground when the tool is a smart missile

@SpudBugHind/Condor omnipresence are almost single handedly destroying the game in every game mode where present.
Doubt me? Replace all Hind/Condor with Blackhawks from Portal and see the difference. I can guarantee the game will play more like the Battlefield we know and love and less like Hind/Condor AC130 Gunship simulator.
Thats assuming DICE has an internal review of the god mode Stealth helo and brings some sanity to these extremely OP attack craft.- spudbug3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Zhukov211 I think you're being very dramatic. I played several Exodus conquest matches today and didn't feel like helicopters had any significant advantage or impact on the match that vehicles shouldn't have. I was playing Rao and hacking them frequently and using AA missiles, also playing the stealth heli myself or nightbird rarely when it was available and taking out other air vehicles and using AGMs to kill enemy armor.
You seem to be have blinders on about this issue and are making it into something it is not. Try changing your playstyle to deter air vehicles or learn how to fly a jet or heli and kill them yourself.- Zhukov2113 years agoSeasoned Ace
@SpudBugYa nah. After 20 years of Battlefield I’m capable of giving a fair and informed opinion.
You telling us that “all is well” with vehicle balance is laughable. Player numbers and gamer’s abysmal opinions of 2042 compared to previous BF games say as much.
All previous BF titles have a nice balance as far as vehicles and maps on Conquest maps. Maps like Amiens for example in BF1 only has 1 tank per team and 2 armored cars. Each team can get an additional tank via capturing specific objectives. Note zero aircraft.
Conquest on Argonne Forest has no vehicles(except for the train when one side loses badly) at all and is one of the best maps of all time for the franchise. Note NO VEHICLES at all.
Operation Locker, Metro, the BF3/BF4 Asian Market Map. No vehicles at all or just a MAV type vehicle and some quad runners.BF4’s Paracel storm has tons of vehicles is an
absolute master piece. Though I can guarantee Paracel Storm with 2 Hinds and 2 Condors per team plus stealth Helos would be an utter nightmare for any ground vehicle or infantry players. Anyone saying anything to the contrary is flat out lying through their teeth.
2042 on the other hand we see DICE shoving every single vehicle in game into every single Conquest map. That includes 64 player maps. 64 player maps have the same number of vehicles as 128 player maps. If it’s not obvious, that’s broken and adversely effects the infantry experience. Then there’s the fact that the Hannibal and Huron even exist. These stunningly overpowered aircraft prove beyond any reasonable doubt that DICE has absolutely no idea how to balance vehicles.
The Battlefield formula as far as vehicles that works magnificently in previous games has been abandoned in 2042 and 2042’s player numbers and dismal reviews for the game tell the tale.
