No meatgrinder is a big mistake?

The tug of war style meatgrinder maps have been popular since BF3 and it's just some simple mindless fun and still has the Battlefield element because it's still possible to turn the tide with a small group that manages to break the defenses and cap the point behind the enemy.

The current state of the game is bad still, maps are poorly made and the addition of 16vs16 Rush was fun but now that everyone knows the maps and the gamemode it's just either attack of defense that dominates there is no back and forth. Needs some serious balance tweaks which I would have expected by now in a live service game.

I'am sure they'll get this game in line but I think it'll take too long and there is nothing to bridge the gap before it's "good" and I think a meatgrinder map would have been great to get away from the bad stuff.

More like "who spams more explosive, wins". Because those maps were nothing else and strongly needed a limited player count and healthy admin rules to run well. Otherwise they were anything but fun and absolutely unplayable. Only wannabe tryhards enjoyed that. Basically any of the infantry focussed maps were unplayable with 64 players and no rules like "less/no explosive" and sniper limits.
