Once again, crossplay gets much more flak than it deserves.
Unless we are comparing top play between vehicles, it is irrelevant.
Crossplay is a problem. The evidence is in the two versions of the game on console. Get a PS5 and play both versions (PS5 version with PC players and PS4 version) then you will convince yourself easily that the tech is not here in this game to have crossplay implemented. Somehow TTD does not equal TTK on crossplay versions of this game. If you are a PC player, go and play the above mentioned two versions and then we can talk. PC players are not the problem, it is the tech that enables crossplay. PC has m&k, console has aim assist, BF2042 has desync and lag. Nobody is happy.

I support and second this statement

As one who plays on both console and PC I think this is an Xbox/PSN issue leaving their walled gardens creating lag and desync rather than a cross play specific problem. I don't play COD or Fortnight but wonder if their crossplay suffers from the same issues. I have also played crossplay in Halo, Gears, and Overwatch and it tends to mirror my Battlefield crossplay experience when fighting folks from different platforms. My experiences aren't bad at all but there seems to be more suspicious deaths from latency or desync between platforms than non-crossplay experiences. I still love crossplay and don't want it to be removed from future titles and given the direction the industry is heading I don't think it will be.

I agree with this, and this seems to be the issue.
- 3 years ago@JOGAGATYA Don't suggest PC players to play Xbox 1 version, that's where most of us console players enjoy crossplay. I have an Xbox S but have spent most of my time on old gen version because the crossplay with PC is ridiculously unbalanced on next gen.
There's enough PC players playing the game on next gen to just play amongst themselves. If their crossplay was disabled everyone will be happy.- ElliotLH3 years agoHero+@turtlebeached PC players can't access the last gen version so I wouldn't worry.
