Not able to join servers with more than 4 players to play together

Easier is one thing. We got used to the cumbersome way in BF5. But right now we could not figure out how do it AT ALL. Dice/EA said they were putting an emphasis on teamwork. So this must be possible, but we simply could not figure out HOW (and we are both seasoned BF veterans and some of us have a PhD, so we are definitely not just 'stupid').
