Before it was like there were ants in your head when inside any building or ship but now it's like there aren't any footsteps at all. Even a Sundance landing makes zero noise.
Audio is definitely and issue. Half the time vehicles sound half a map away or don’t register sound at all and are right on top… I guess they have hidden stealth features.

Please fix
There are footsteps in the game? Didn't hear any in 99% of the game.

It was too much now too little - I believe Florian said there are going to be more changes in the next patch some time in January

This is odd. Maybe it’s a bug. Because I definitely hear footsteps and vehicles. As long as the person is running and not walking or crouching. I use headphones though so maybe that helps. Can you hear your own footsteps? Because if not, it’s a bug. If you can, then it should sounds the same for enemies and teammates. It’s not super loud if there are other sounds happening like explosions and vehicles, but it’s definitely loud enough to notice an enemy nearby. It even sounds different in grass or on concrete.

I have the exact opposit problem.
They are loud as hell on my headset. I often think someone is right next to me, when in fact its someone running 30-40 meters away - @Xenog31st You can hear footsteps, sometimes at least. The system is not great though. The entire directional sound isn't great to be honest. There are so many times where a Mackay or Sundance just land behind you without any sound, or even just ziplines not making any noise. Then there are issues with where the sound is coming from. For example, today I was fighting over a dune and heard an enemy very close on my right so I turned and aimed there. Then the sound came from my far left so I turned again and aimed to my left. In the end the enemy came from somewhere between the two sound directions. This should definetly not be happening.
