The 'offline campaign multiplayer' worked perfectly fine for Battlefield 1942, so it infuriates and perplexes me why they removed it from subsequent entries in the franchise, especially Battlefield 2042. For the performance issues, all they have to do is repeat the steps that were taken in Battlefront II via the sliders which determined how many AI entities would be present in a match. They could also cap the bots at, say, anywhere from 40 to 64 on last gen consoles and 64 or higher on current-gen consoles (I play on console). Progression should be disabled whilst playing against bots offline and all content should be unlocked. It's what every other game does, and it's evident Battlefield 2042 was trying (and miserably failed) to follow the examples of other games. I hope DICE will see these threads on the forums advocating for full offline bot support so meaningful change can be made.
