The issue is Bloom. It always applies to its fullest extent regardless of if you ADS or not. Which means gun performance is directly linked to how small the Bloom is.
I.e. SMG and DMR are effective at all ranges accounting for bullet drop and AR / LMG are firing bullets into space.
So much for trying to be like Apex Legends ☹️
Bf2042 could have really been great if they had the gunplay down. Heck even Modern warfare does it better.
