Operation Metro / Lockers coming to season 4
From the concept art and latest announcements it's looking likely we are getting a new Metro / Lockers map.

Cool, should give those infantry-only types a new playground.
So as with the other Flashback maps implemented into 2042, expect the map/mode to be ruined by 3 stealth Helicopters per team.
Because why not, right DICE?

Where'd you get Metro/Locker from?
The only hint was a "BF4 map engulfed with vegetation".
Probably not an indoor map if there is vegetation. (Not to mention the specialists aren't balanced for an indoor CQC grinder)
So a BF4 map, mostly outdoors, little to no vegetation, likely a fan favorite.
I'll bet someone else's 401k that it's Siege of Shanghai.

Season 4 will mark the end of our Year 1 and will launch in early 2023. It will bring you a new Specialist, all new Battle Pass, brand new hardware, and more. While the map that will arrive will be smaller, shorter, and linear designed for up close and personal, close-quarters combat that Battlefield is famous for.

@Tank2042Man Ah, there were hints for both Season 4 and Season 5 maps.
Season 4 is the Metro/Locker-esque CQC grinder.
Season 5 is the BF4 map engulfed with vegetation.
Good thing I was betting with someone else's 401k. Close one.
They should give us Usas-12 with frag rounds 👿
- @Zhukov211 remember - if one use Rao (like me) he can and should hack the choppers. Then stealth is not that protected and need to leave. I've now learned with Rao that I cannot both hack and shoot stingers since I'm exposed for too long and often gets sniped. Hack and then run for cover and let other shoot at the chopper. I think perhaps too few use Rao and that is why the choppers win like they do. All I hack launch flares and rush away when hacked - perhaps they are not killed but at least they leave.
I am so pumped for this new map. It looks like Metro and locker. I cant wait!
If the new map is more linear, and smaller, then it looks like an Op Locker style map indeed. Which is great news. The biggest thing missing across all the existing maps is interior combat. I wish they'd bring back Frontlines and adapt the 2042 maps to use it. As long as there are at least 4 or 5 capture points, and not three like we generally saw in BF5. Frontlines on Devastation was poor.
