No surprises at at all.
We get voip, although I'd like to know what the definitions of party and squad are, and we finally get a finished scoreboard.
Other than that, just bug fixes. Lots of them. Which is less a cause for celebration, and rather more a case of a game shipping with way too many bugs.
No new content, no server browser, no performance improvements, nothing to aid organized play.
It should also be noted that this was a long awaited slate of fixes that was delivered later than Dice said it would be.
To be fair, this update while late is the first one to actually deliver what was promised. And not an iota more.
A small advance.
I'm sure devs are relieved to get this out of the way, but their job is far from over. This patch alone will not save 2042, nor will it attract back a lot of players. However it could be a good platform to build from, as long as Dice don't dawdle as much next time. Another five months before the next major update would be entirely unacceptable.
It's time for Dice to get to work, and if they think they've done enough to date, they have another think coming.
