PC FPS INCREASE?

Hey all, i was watching Lossy's latest video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl6s027FGdA ) and at the end of the video he mentioned that people have had some success with higher FPS using the EA instead of Origin. And i was like "lol, that is stupid, i'll try it". And low and behold, my FPS actually increased in game...

since release i have been running the game trough origin on high settings with dx12 enabled in the conf file and getting 90 - 110 fps depending on map / location etc on 128 players servers.

Since i started launching the game from the EA app yesterday, my fps is between 120-135 depending on map / location.

All i changed was the client to launch the game.

So try launching the game with the EA app if you haven't and see if that helps with your fps.

@F3NN3X I have EA Desktop and Origin installed you can't open Origin and EA App at the same time.

And BF2042 on Steam needs Origin. If you don't have opened Origin, it will start the Origin Thin client.

@CountSero it sucks that steam version uses the origin thin client or origin, but hopefully they'll update that when the ea app is out of beta or something.

Dudes claiming his min frame increased by 30 by using a different launcher.

This is non-sense. Disabling Origin in-game results in nothing. The only way this would make any sense would be if Origin was eating large amounts of the cpu. It is NOT the case.

does it make sense? hell no...
will it work for everyone ? no...
might it be hardware depended? for sure...

@WienerBeardI just tried it and........from 100-110fps to 140-160fps and i cranked the video settings from medium/ high to ultra/high on 1440p. Honestly i cant believe it !!! In the video the guy say it works for some and dont work for others... well it works for me. Plus i always had some bad stuttering the first 10 minutes or so after launching the game ( after was ok smooth as butter) and its gone too !!

Edit: i updated my nvidia drivers too so it may be part of the solution for me !
