Pc vs Console in FPS

I played FPS for over two decades on pc and console but never experienced such an unfair playing field as in bf2042.

M&K the far superior input method for fps and it baffles me that console is not able the same input method or at least play the game with crossplay off.....

Apparently for some people in some regions it's working but for me and several others the matchmaker doesn't find any sessions.(btw a server browser would be a solution).

Bf 2042 has many issues but from a console players perspective the unfair playing field is by far the biggest problem and a huge turn off to even start the game.

I am curious where the demand of pc & console crossplay even came from....pretty sure it wasn't from the console community....does anybody know?

Look at steam data survey and youll get it .. This game wont run at 60 fps unless someones as a minimum of a 6 core Ryzen CPU or a 6 to 8 core Recent Intel CPU first of all then the very minimum as to be above a 980 to a 1070 GPU to even remotly run this game around 60 FPS in 1080p so yeah the Hardware requirement dosnt suit most PC on steam wich is why many bought the game and refund it because they were running the game at sub 40 to 25 fps ... ill tell you the bare minimum requirement for 1080p 60 fps is a Ryzen 3600x and a GTX1070 lol and i am not kidding

I have both the PC and the ps5 version.

The ps5 version with crossplay disabled is honestly 100 times more fun than the PC version.

The flow of the game is so much better because there isnt 30 snipers camping at the egdes of every objective and people actually move around a lot more.

  • Played PC since the 90's to late 00's Quit due to cheating getting worst each year, now there are 6 anti-cheat companies vs 1 back then that says how big an issue it is that so many can survive.

On PC CoD I had a 4.5KD on console it was .5 at the start with a pad now around 1.4 its nothing like on PC due to sticks not being good at aim vs a mouse. But then BF2042 has NO aim assist on top of vs us with mouse users... I think the Dice team are PC players who are bad and want to stomp console users.

EA seen Warzone make $$ and decided to follow and force PC users onto console and putting us with cheaters. I'm done paying for games with force PC crossplay as default. In a world where Apex exists with the perfect crossplay it should be the standard.

How do they handle crossplay on Apex? Im not at all into battleroyals so I haven't really played it except for 1 or 2 rounds back when it released.

  • @Getier It's actually quite funny, you just run straight left or right around a console player and they struggle to track you.
