Physics just feel off

The last BF game I played before 2042 was BF3, so that is where this comparison is coming from.

In BF3, the physics for things like the tanks and aircraft seemed much more realistic. The Helis for example felt much heavier, and took more time to respond to input like when climbing and doing rolls.

The tank turrets moved more smoothly, and didn't have weird clipping issues.

In 2042 the aircraft feel like theyre little toys being spun around in a child's hand. Everything from the acceleration (especially in helis) to the way they roll and climb seems just...off.

It doesn't feel like youre flying a 10,000lb death machine, more like a balsa wood model flying in a hurricane. They feel much lighter and respond instantly to your control input without any kind of gradient of delay.

And dont get me started about the ability to do barrel rolls in helis...
Also the first person view in some heli's has this rotor spinning animation that dips like halfway down the cockpit view. Not only is this annoying and in the way of trying to see stuff, but I feel like the rotor would have to be pitched at close to a 45 degree angle to dip that low into your vision, also something that should probably be looked at.

And the tank turret doesnt always go where you aim, especially in third person. It seems to want to avoid certain things in its path, and will move the turret slightly to avoid them, throwing off your aim in the process.

I actually reinstalled BF3 just to remind myself what it felt like, and there are definitely some major changes in the above mentioned areas.
Is anyone else bothered by these things to the point of wanting to play BF3 over this, or am I just being nitpicky?

  • @Fenrir_54597 i spend a lot of time hunting aircraft and i will say that the physics are definitely jacked up, especially jets. half the time they look like they have had a departure from controlled flight. if a jet moved like that at that speed it would make the pilot black out or rip off a wing/control surface
