Crawford, Lis, and Zain are now free to anyone that logs in to Battlefield2042 from now until April 4 @ 12:00 UTC!
Once unlocked, they're unlocked forever.

Apparently, (per a Dev on Twitter) it is to let the new players catch up to everybody else.

It is interesting how things have evolved into it being too much trouble to play the games so that you can level up the games.
