When you play a round with PvP bots (no humans except host and all the default settings Portal provides), earn 100+ kills and 11 captures by yourself yet still lose the match by more than 400+ points, what does this tell you (other than I can't do it all by myself)?
To me this shows that when a match begins one of the teams AI skills are randomly turned down by design in order to give the other team a clear edge...doesn't happen every round but it happens often enough and seems to be by random chance as to which team ends up with the better skilled bots (I believe this what the default skill setting in portal does).
This will often give you a feeling that the matches are kinda canned, regardless of which team wins...I often feel during a random match that either I can do no wrong OR I'd need a large team of humans and endless ammo to win.
Yes, I would welcome either T1 or similar unlocks for those who go above and beyond in Portal, especially if playing alone as it can be work trying to win against the Default skilled bots like that... and much of the time it's clearly impossible.
@BigShottt Yeah the difficulty can be weird I can sometimes beat them really easy then sometimes it seems impossible. If people are really focused on winning more rounds they would be better playing against players as I lose more than I win in the AI portal modes in default I usually play 64 player rush AI and you do have to work hard sometimes.
I was hoping to be able to do this in season 5 instead it has went the wrong way we can’t even do weekly missions in portal right now please stop punishing people for wanting to play single player.
