You have the option in several versions of the BF franchise to use the "give up" option to get you out of the bleed-out phase.
Bleed-out is there for people that are WANTING to be revived by team mates. If I am rolling with my squad and we have voice comms, I usually will call out to a squad mate running medic and will get feed back right away whether I should hold on for a few more seconds or just re-spawn.
Did you just not look at your screen when you played BF5 ? Or is your complaint really about the revive animation? Does that extra 1/2 second hamper your K/D to the point you get frustrated? If so, maybe look at your own way of thinking vs demanding they change the game before you even play it.
- 4 years ago@Pure_Brass Wow somebody is salty. This is a forum, it's there to discuss things, to nitpick these details.
If you want to be toxic, this ain't the place.- Jesse1654 years agoSeasoned Ace@Battlevader17 Says the one actually being toxic by complaining about a problem that doesn't really exist.
- 4 years ago@Battlevader17 Honestly I've read both your and his posts a few times and is it really that toxic? I'm also wondering how much it really matters.
Also, dead people getting revived has been in the game since Battlefield 2. It was actually really awful at the launch. But I guess not many people remember statpadding back then. 🙂 - 4 years ago
What I find toxic is people that complain about something that no one has actual knowledge about and try to make their OPINION on this fairy dust scenario the only right answer...
The game isn't out yet and DICE have said several times that everything we have seen (even the 'leaked' stuff) is all Work In Progress and not final in any way. Being a LIVE SERVICE, they can change anything / everything in the game at any time, even months after release.
A Dev already tweeted that the revive animation we saw last week was a placeholder. The latest "actual game play" was revealed to be footage from a presentation given to influencers back in JUNE and they were told then that it was on a older version then and everything was subject to change. Let the game come out and check out the Beta before nit picking on it.
You might be right and the revive and bleed out stages /animations will be crap and need changing. The community will let them know FAST and LOUD long before DICE reads a "nit-picking" post in the general forum months before the game is even released...
- 4 years ago@Pure_Brass Actually, EA Community Managers and volunteers monitor these posts regularly, and they won't hesitate to tell you if you cross a line that shouldn't be crossed. They are fully aware of how we feel about a lot of issues, I assure you.
- 4 years ago@Pure_Brass This dude gets it. Having audio cues for downed teammates and opponents gives me more intel about what is happening. If I hear an enemy opponent calling for health (via bleed out option) I know that he is trying to be revived (and maybe there are enemies trying to get to him).
You're either waiting the 10 seconds to respawn or waiting to be revived, not sure what other option you're talking about regarding getting to the action faster ("Maybe i don't want to be revived, and don't want to wait 10 seconds just to get back to the respawn screen.")???
You also can't complain about being frustrated about "wanting to get back to the action faster," then talk about how a system designed to help people get back in the fight faster (bleed out system) is somehow a crutch for medics...because they get people back to the action faster? The "skill" is not getting killed running across the battlefield trying to revive your teammates, not hoping they wait around to get revived.
Also this thread is bogus. OP talks about "more and more bad stuff from BFV," but only cites one 'complaint.'
