Hi, I'll sound a little high tone, but I have to vent my frustration with how things are going.
I'm a 10+ year veteran of Battlefield, and what I see is that there is a tendency to limit the gameplay, to make everything more like a COD, smart, and easy for all.
whoever is here wants to play Battlefield not COD, Battlefield is awesome for play medium- long gameplay with many tickets, play battlefield short match It's ridiculous.
On bf3 you rented a server and could put max tickets in normal/hardcore preset, on bf4 they start limit normal/hardcore preset to max 100% tickets, and that makes conquest very short, 15-20 mins, death match 10 minutes, ( only when there are few people or the flags are disputed or balanced that the match lasts a few more minutes ), but it's all so depressing, In comparison to the gameplay of bf3.
On bf4 set the server to personal preset to put max tickets and max time, it's a limitation, because most people have the server browser in normal preset, so your custom server It doesn't have the same visibility as normal, especially for new custom servers without favorites, it's even more difficult to attract people.
On bf2042, everything is worse, i see the standard conquest max 700 tickets, rush 75 ticket and death match 100 ticket, ok in TDM you set time lit to 10min to 20 min, lol thanks for the effort, but all this makes the matches last very little anyway.
In portal, why we can't set time limit beyond one hour?
Why we can't create death match with 500 tickets as bf3 and/or raise the time limit?
(who remember bf3 TDM siene or canals 500tks? was awesome!)
Why not keeping rush XL as standard rush instead of keeping rush 75 ticket as standard mode?
Why can't I play alone and I have to be forced to play in squad team, if i want play as a sniper but someone, spawn on me and get the attention of the enemy or if I'm doing an undercover things with any other weapon with silencer, someone spawn on me, shoot with no silencer and attract enemy, these are just a few examples, can make many others...
What do you think fps war games will be like in 10-20-30 years?

Developers step out of your comfort zone and stop screwing up the battlefield series by making everything look like a COD, we bought battlefield to play battlefield, and what you present to us is a battlefield similar to COD, For what? to emulate the success of COD?
If cod has been so successful it's because people have been domesticated to that type of short and smart gameplay, but please create something different, go back to how bf3 was, a simple copy and paste of bf3 and bf2042 would be much better.
Exit from comfort zone and let play players as they want without the gamplay LIMITS!
I am well aware that these words will annoy someone of you, but they had to be said, and I am well aware that nothing will change and that mediocrity always wins.
For those few who understand and share what I mean, I hope that one day we will have the battlefield as it should be.

on bf3, In its golden age, 90% of rented servers had max tickets, conquest, rush and death matches, so almost all game was long games, so the situation was different from people saying NO as you said, but apparently the truth is lost over time and people have a distorted view now.

Simply FPS pvp has taken a wrong turn and people fuel this ridiculous aspect.

As I said, pvp FPS should be at least without mini map, kill cam, and low energy, and on bf be free to make max tickets on normal/hardcore preset, instead custom preset That gets little visibility in the server browser beacose most set in normal presets.
And for battlefield COD/2042, Eventually in a few years, when more will come out, it will be just another mediocre fps game, beacose people love stay in their comfort zone.
