Just played some BFV with a friend. All the animations were awesome!!!
i love how animations slowed down the game and made it more immersive. I was absolutely in awe looking at my friend kneeling down to revive someone. The whole animation!! Wow! In BF2042 the soldiers just poke in the air often looking in a different direction. Speeding up things in BF2042 like ‘appearing’ outside a vehicle look ridiculous and are bad for your ADHD.
waiting for exiting the vehicle and worrying about making it or not before getting blown up is exciting in BFV. Takedowns are all first person too. Amazing.
@JOGAGATYAI agree! And to those who think the animations are too slow I'm sure they could speed it up a little bit and find a middle ground. I understand fully 2042's a faster game.
The teleport cheese is ridiculous and lazy. Another legacy feature they've not bothered with yet they charge us more.

At least you're halfway there with having an animation to hit when someone is getting back in their vehicle instead of instant teleport in and out.

@AnobixI'm not sure what you're getting at tbh. Legacy feature or not, it's still a progressional feature added to the series that was cut in 2042. It's still another backwards step.
Animations don't have to be clunky like in BFV. They can be quicker and with a directional exit animation, whats the problem?
I'm trying to find a middle ground here. I don't want a sitting duck to shoot at but at the same time I don't want to be gunned down by someone instantly appearing out of thin air in front of me. I'm looking for a fair fight and a degree of realism.
If a vehicle player fails to use their defensive systems to stop a close threat and needs to exit then they should use directional exit to exit on the other side of the vehicle to avoid being a sitting duck. The animation could take half a second. At least that's fair imo. - sk1lld2 years agoLegend
Here's what worries me about messing with the animations exiting vehicles. This could reintroduce the aim down sight bug that keeps happening.
- I_DYN4MO_I2 years agoSeasoned Ace@sk1lld I just hope EA DICE don't half * the next installment more than anything. Its probably to much of an ask for something like this in 2042 anyway.

I've died after already getting in the gunner seat of vehicles for instance.
