On console you can switch to the other team.
This is abused all the time.
People who are on the losing team switches to the winning team, leaving the losing team even worse off.
Please remove the switch team ability from BF2042 if it’s still there, or change it so you can only switch to the losing team.
I actually like being able to Swap teams, however to meet half way no one should be able to change team mid game but the option should be there between games. The only reason I want to be able to swap teams is because the people I play with get more enjoyment out of the game when we’re hunting eachother on opposite sides. It was one of the biggest reasons we got fed up with Battlefield V.
I disagree but not completely, I think you should be able to switch teams so you can play with friends (Instead of always instantly backing out). Me and a huge group of guys would slowly switch to the losing team and turn it around for them as a challenge. You need the ability to join your friends and maybe get off a junk team early on if there is no skill based assignment as the game starts. I switched teams all the time playing solo, otherwise I would just quit and tah-dah one of your best players just ditched. Maybe put a lock on it after you've played a certain time OR the match is at like 40% completion.
On BFV Xbox you can switch teams given how Xbox Live is formulated as compared to others. There's nothing EA/DICE can do about that.
At the same time, matchmaking is so bad, you almost want folks to switch teams to even them up. At the same time, with 2042 and the implementation of Bot Fillers, matchmaking should be much better. However, idk the answer in how EA can counter Xbox Live even on the next game.
