Sorry, but how is that equal?? I mean he will literally have an advantage because explosion sound will not "cover" any other sounds. What next? please turn on thermal vision for me because I'm colorblind? Instead he can just lower the overall sound to bare minimum and that will resolve his problem.

@ZORDCOMRAD In other games like some previous Battlefields they didn't have tinnitus effect kinda like in BFBC2 and instead they would just mute/muffled the entire game for a period of time. They could just make it so when you uncheck the tinnitus sound effect it would make it like the previous games.
I'm not asking for an advantage but for a way to replace the sound or reduce the game sound entirely for that duration of that explosion.
Here is an example: https://youtu.be/XIXMOiDEJbc?t=588
Reducing the entire Master Sound from the game like you recommend puts me on a disadvantage and will make things hard to hear. On top of that the ear will get used to listening for quiet sounds til it becomes normal and the problem will come back again where the tinnitus sound will become annoying. Think it like your eyes getting used to dark.
Metro Exodus has the option to disable it and the sound gets replaced by muffled.
@CyberDyme Thank you, I will check it out, I still hope that the devs address this and give an option for it.
I can deal with certain tinnitus sound like Bf2's and Bf1 tinnitus sounds but the ones from Bf5 are so high pitch and so long that to certain people will give headaches or become very annoying since explosions happens very often.
Also I watched a bit of videos from BF 2042 and when you get hit by multiple explosions the tinnitus sound will change more and more, sometimes getting more sharp.
