For the love of BF, please stop messing with the insertion beacon! It’s now so useless!DICE I am so angry about decisions like that to nerf something you’ve already nerfed twice! NONE of which should have happened!1. first nerf adding a 3 foot tall tripod to it’s easy to locate and therefor takes away much of the tactical use2. Second nerf by adding a “self destruct” when the owner spawns on it3. now you’ve traded nerf #2 for something FAR worse, you placed a restriction to 4 spawns and then it self destructs!4. DICE seems to not comprehend the use of this gadget and how quickly 4 spawns happen5. SUGGESTED UPDATE: remove any self destruct, allow unlimited spawns and remove the tripod. this is the type of out of touch, unapologetic and terrible decision making DICE management has been making and why they continue to push away the core community they just don’t get it and it’s truly sad

It's a free gadget, just replace it when you spawn.Squadmates are unlikely to 'consume' it, because since when do squads stick together? If they are sticking together then they are just as likely spawning on each other. Even if the beacon did get consumed you're likely to have squadmates in the area available to spawn on.Honestly I think it needs a further nerf. Needs some restrictions on where it can be placed. Also it needs a louder audio cue.

@Steve081372 But the 3 foot tall tripod offers also an tactical advantage.
I use it to climb on higher places like containers for example. Also works nicely with Irish APS shootdown systems.

@UP_Hawxxeye No, in BF4 the spawn beacon stayed indefinitely.
The following situations removed it:
Spawn beacon took damage (shot at, run over, exploded, knifed)
The player that deployed it, deployed a new spawn beacon
The owner spawned on it without a spawn beacon in the loadout (eg. a different class kit)

In my opinion it worked the same in Hardline and BFV.

@Steve081372 Also worth mentioning that you can only place one insertion beacon in a life. Meaning if your insertion beacon is destroyed, you cannot lay another one while you are alive. You can only lay another one when you respawn. Although I’m not sure if I have a problem with this.

@kregoraI am quite sure that the beacon expired in BFV as I was getting annoyed by others depleting my beacon
