@RaginSamI got a new PC recently with a ryzen 5800X and 2x8 GB of 3600Mhz ram.
But my GPU is still the old 1050ti (which will run the game fine on minimal settings)
So since we have maaany months until the GPUs become reasonable, I wanted to start to plan ahead.

I honestly do not plan to run BF2042 at above 60fps on a a 133@ scale since my monitor is limited at 60hz anyway. I also do not think I will go for high settings considering that in past titles most of them just made it harder to see enemies. In BFV I set everything to low even if it was not affecting performance.
So right now I am pondering on if it will be a 3060 quality card or a 3070 quality card (or AMD and Intel equivalents) that will be the best investment once they are obtainable for a reasonable price.
I am with you, 60 FPS is just fine for me at 1080p. I tried a 4k monitor with my 11900k 5.3 and 3070 ti. While I got good frames in most games, I prefer a rock solid 60 in ALL situations. Not just running and gunning but 128 players, stuff blowing up everywhere, just sheer madness. I will happily trade some visual quality for the stable 60 FPS.

@locked_n_cockedWhy not go for 120-144hz monitor with that setup?
