    @vulcansuedewell if your operating system is older than 12 months I would definitely recommend doing it, it solves so many issues, if its a newer installation than 12 months it shouldn't really need it, if its a few years then stuff gets messed up in the registry/ I have had pcs that even resets don't fix only a clean install did

@vulcansuede sometimes you just cant figure the issue out so a fresh new install often solves those annoying issues out and gets things running well again, perhaps try that,

@IcylastEve I didn't mention it, but I also tried reinstalling the game and running a clean scan. The only thing I haven't done is reinstall windows. That's too hard. I'm stuck.

      Try turning XMP off in bios. If it doesn't fix BSOD then turn XMP back on. Take a picture of bios settings with your phone before changing them.

        Do you have ASUS Armory Crate installed? I did not install it with my ASUS MB. Maybe try uninstalling that, ASUS makes a tool for this.

    @vulcansuede Do you by any chance have an Amd cpu and asus motherboard ? I once had problems with a 5800x and asus x570 motherboard !

        I wrote this post to help improve the antivirus, and there are more illegal users after the antivirus change than before. The BCOD I experienced was a temporary fix with a registry editor, so I wanted you to know about that as well, and I think it's pointless because I've tried everything except reinstalling Windows.
