Portal editor is up
https://review.portal.battlefield.com/experiences best edit this, its a preview of it so we can have a play around apparently.
@Jesse165 Very Extremely!!! I've been looking forward to making large full count PVE in portal for vehicle and map practice since learning of Portal.
@widowmaker488Same Here š
I've been holding out this whole time against all the haters since this is the reason I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition to show my support for this.
Please DICE I am begging you... Don't make me regret it !!!
Because this would be borderline unforgivable if we can't do Full Bot Matches with up to 127 AI after being promised that we could up to this point.
Yeah, looks like the AI is limited to 60 no matter what I try. I can create 128 player scenarios but it would have to be with 68 humans and again, just 60 AI.
Kind of a bummer but given that most of my friends still haven't been able to get their hands on PS5s, I was expecting to only be able to build 64 player matches so we could co-op together. Still, would be nice to be able to fill out a 128 player session with all or mostly AI if we wanted to.
@Kean_1111 Yeah I know man. I'm still hoping that this is something that will be fixed in the release version, or patched in soon after. Would love to see how 127 advance AI would handle the maps. Even if they're only mediocre, you can never go wrong with more cannon fodder.
Doesn't seem to be any option to actually determine the number of any given vehicle, just what types are available.

Yeah agreed @Kean_1111 ,
This is a really bummer if we cannot fill up the server from the get go!
Maybe EA Dev team suddenly realized here last minute that the servers (the cheap ones that EA now rents from a 3rd party to host our game play) are not nearly as powerful as the inhouse servers they used inhouse during the game development. And therefore does not have the CPU power necessary to keep 127 AI soldiers moving...??? ā¹
That could be the case but I guess we'll see if this is just a sampling of what the final Portal will be upon release or if this is really it. .....and/or whether or not this is an aspect they are looking to expand on in the future.
From what I've seen so far, Portal is coming up short on what I had expected as it seems more limited in a few ways that what I had imagined. Having said that however, I still find a lot of freedom in the options we do see right now on the website. Some of the restrictions though seem contrary to what we have heard from the devs so that leaves some hope that those are elements that may change in the release version or sometime after.
In either case, Portal is something the devs have said that they will be expanding on and if it becomes as popular as I think it might, perhaps we will see ample support for it going forward.
Personally, I am still excited about it and the only big question mark for me right now is the quality of the AI and their affect on the gameplay. If they are good as advertised, then this may be the new game that my friends and I will playing for months to come.
