Portal Mode
So, in Portal Mode, do you need to play with real players at all? Or can you just have an all AI team and an all AI enemy team.

@ChrisAWJBethel all the map environment, game mechanics, hit registration etc etc are all happening on the server side. And EA have not off-line LAN party gaming high on their priority list of what should be implemented for this game next, so though it could be a lot of fun, honestly dont think we ever will see this happening as long as it stays in the hands of EA ownership.

There are no local play options available for Portal or any of the other modes in BF2042. The only servers available are in fact hosted by EA / DICE. All Portal Experiences must be created through EA / DICE's Portal website. ....again, you cannot do this locally on your own system.
