Had a 30min window to play last night. Couldn't MM into AOW. Went into Portal and the maps were pretty dead in there with 200% Hardcore game modes dominating the play list. Decided to set up my own Portal mode, asked me to scan the QR code and then I ended up setting it up on my phone. When it was done it gave me a code. I put that code into the game on my Xbox One and the game mode popped up. What was greyed out was "persistent server". So my game started and then I quit out of it to see if my game mode was active as a persistent server in Portal and I couldn't find it anywhere. It's like it is only active if I am active which is the way it was working beforehand.
I was hoping that if I set it up now, that come mid next week when I get a chance to play properly that there would have been a few people who joined it and it would be semi if not fully full so I can play my AOW modes in Portal because I cant actually MM into AOW anymore.
Has anyone else had the same experience or am I doing something wrong? I take it the persistent servers are live now with the 2.2 update? That was my understanding anyhow.
I should also add that I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of BF2042, so I should qualify to set up a persistent server in Portal.
@sambolearyfirst there is a new option in the game settings which you need to turn to On to have persisistent servers not anymore greyed out. (doesn't make any sense, why not just have the option under server hosting??? well...)

I had a server up yesterday, we played with 3 ppl, 1 guy joined.. on map change we decided to leave , I quickly checked the server tab, nothing in it.
I now tried again and just quit the server after setting it up, no server management tab available and it's also not in the server list, so I guess it's not persistent....
