When I leave my server and search for it after in the Portal server browser, I cannot find the server I created and marked as persistent.
Title of server is Chaotic Pandas: A Better Battlefield. Full XP, Permanent Server. Region is Australia.
I have activated persistent portal servers in my settings, and I have enabled persistent server and clicked the host button.
The server started fine. Whether I leave soon after or stay for a full round and let the second map load, when I leave, the server is gone. It does not show up in the server browser. There are only four servers or so listed in Australia, judging by ping. This has to be wrong - I thought I saw a dozen earlier today.
My server is close to the default settings so that people can just join a persistent server without being kicked out to the menu all the time, plus some vehicle spawn delays and people downed being able to crawl.
What am I doing wrong?
Separate query: There is a notice in the server settings that states "Mastery Limited". This happens from enabling AI. I take it the mastery limitations only apply to AI kills, and mastery will still progress normally when fighting human players?
Hi, so I did some testing. The server will be listed only if you search for it. If you create an experience and only you join the server, it will not be visible to other players. You have to get a friend to join your created experience and only then will it be listed and visible to other players. Which defeats the purpose of hosting a portal experience.
Basically, two different people need to be on the server for it to be visible. I am currently emailing back and forth with EA regarding this issue, and I * you not they basically told me to come here to EA answers and look for a solution myself.
Here is my created post on the issue. Portal server not listed under "browse servers" - Answer HQ (ea.com)

- 3 years ago@F5-RavenRM That's weird because it used to show, but now it doesn't. Also, I see quite a few servers on the browser with nobody in them.
- Kuiriel3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@F5-RavenRM 'Sunsetting' is leaving the servers up with the game playable, but not doing any more development or content work on it.
Did they seriously say Battlefield 2042 is a sunset game!?! We're not even through season 2 yet, and they are still talking about patches and developments to come!- EA_Atic3 years ago

@EA_AticPC, Oceanic (Australia). No freezing or crashing today, only a little stuttering at one point. It was good to play together with friends and none of us crashed out.
The different modes did populate with other people today (we have cross play enabled) so it seems like our problem here is just underpopulation. Can't start the 64v64 player servers easily without very long waits.
I miss the full fledged server browser.
However, it is good that you can now join on friends in a full squad, even if you can't 'stay together' after a round without needing to join on them after they join the next server, again. Really hope they can work on this - one of the biggest things Battlefield had over other games was allowing lots of friends to play together, instead of being reduced to groups of 4. It meant communities, clans, all of us in game nights, etc.
