Portal, what do you think

@SirBobdk Portal to me is freaking amazing. The only down side is that not all of the BF3 weapons and maps are in Portal and I'd do some shady stuff to get the BF2 maps in Portal as well.
Portal solves most of my issues with the core game design but it's still weird that we need to create our own experiences to get a core Battlefield experience in 2042.
The down side is that I get tired playing the same few maps all of the time so we need much more legacy map content in Portal.
- @ragnarok013 I'm hoping that they have a regular schedule of adding in maps to Portal. Seems to me like it might be easier for them to bring in BF4 maps, but I could be wrong. BF4 had remakes of Firestorm, Metro, Gulf of Oman, and Dragon Valley. So there's a flavor from BF3 and BF2 in there. The Final Stand DLC seems highly appropriate given that it teased BF2042 with hover tanks, the Titan in Hangar 21, rail guns, launch pods, etc.
Speaking of...when does Titan mode come to Portal? lol- @ArchAngeL-PCX 2042 and BF4 are on different versions of Frostbite so it'll probably be a lot of work for any legacy game except for BF5 to have maps added.
I think that will come with time though, right? I can even see them perhaps opening up all the weapons, etc. for use across all of the game options.
Seems to me that even with the heat DICE is getting for other aspects, Portal is the one thing many have pointed out as the game's redeeming quality. ....and the one with the most potential (save for the temporary suspension of progression). If it is successful and they can iron out the server and farming issues, I think we can look forward to many more updates including new assets, maps, etc.
Maybe Portal will give them the time to sort the rest of the game out but I really hope they realize they have a good thing here.

They were quiet yesterday but there is some activity today. I expect that will continue through launch day and maybe even ramp up before then in preparation for it.
