Possible fix for mouse binding problems

What issue is this you mention about bindings for the mouse? 😀

(The mouse bind column is the middle column unless I missed something. I bound my Mouse4 button "side button" for melee no probs?)

Some people are having problems binding mouse buttons as was i and since this worked for me i thought i would share it with everybody and hope it helps until EA comes up with a permanent fix. 😃

I stumbled upon this bug today as I wanted to bind slide(crouch) to a mouse button. Without pressing a button, the game automatically bound mouse 5, and now I cant unbind it. In the game it's like the button is always pressed so I always crouch (this is not the other crouch bug). I'm gonna try this fix and report back if it helps. For key bindings, you can hold ESC to clear. With mouse bindings you need to hold a button that doesn't exist (three lines).

Does EA/DICE even have a QA team?

- Reset controls completely ingame
- in the software for the mouse, put the button on the mouse button, not in the game itself

Do not change the key assignments in the game, depending on the key, many things will not work at all. Create a BF2042 profile in the mouse and keyboard software and simply change the mapping there. Similar problems are not fixed e.g. in BF4 until today.

I've binded full map on Mouse 4 and it opens the map but doesn't close it lol
