@SkyL4Ncer21That’s simply not true, I’ve played MANY matches on caspian border and most pilots where just hoovercamping high above theyr base where they where protected by the automatic AA.
They killed every spottet red dot on sight with laser accurate 30mm explosive rounds across the complete map.
It was not rare to see chopper gunner going 140-0 on all maps.
The MAA at this time did have a limited range on the main gun so the intendet countervehicle didn’t even work vs hoovercampers.
The only thing that could destroy a hoovercamper in bf3 was the jet IF he survived the automatic AA gun in the base which was also rare becouse the pilot could just nosedive back into the base and repairing.
If the jet would dare to attack the chopper he would be shreddet by the Base AA.
BF3 was the worst game when it comes to Air Balance, the chopper and the Jets where to powerfull against ground and you could do absolutely nothing about it except leaving the game.
I drove the MAA back in bf3 near to perfection but still couldn’t destroy air vehicles who have theyr 2 braincells on how to abuse one sided game mechanics.
In BF4 the Air to ground balance was much, much better becouse there where more Anti Air solutions which worked most of the time.
The most important thing was a working MAA vehicle who didn’t get outranged by air vehicles so the MAA actually worked against Air.

Are you me? Lol.
Finally someone who remembers how bad BF3 was with OP air and how BF4 fixed it.
I literally stopped playing conquest for the first time in a battlefield game in BF3 because of the ridiculously OP Jets and Attack Choppers.
After all of the complaints during BC2 after the nightmare that was the circle strafing Attack Choppers you'd have thought that Dice would have taken it on board when they balanced BF3, but they didn't and added OP Jets instead, lol!
Thank God for the other modes in BF3 that were all the best in series. CTF, TDM, CQC Domination and Tank Superiority kept me playing.
Regarding BF4s MAA, the pilots detested it, and they spammed the forums for the entire lifespan of the game asking for it to be nerfed. It got to the point that players posting c4 ambushes on a 'camping' MAA were some of the most upvoted threads on reddit. You even had players on the same team trolling the MAA player because of the pilots constant whining.
Then I remember MarbleDuck posted some videos showing how a skilled crew could work around an MAA being on the same map as an attack chopper. It just needed pilots to actually develop new tactics after having 2 previous battlefield games of playing on easy mode.
