110% dude....I called Gamestop and told them to 'push' for those 2 (Gold n Ultimate) physical discs.
I pre-ordered the standard version disc for my PS5.....and will wait and see if the other 2 editions pop up with physical discs...then cancel and pre order those.
If I have to miss out on a couple of minor things so I can have a disc, no problem. This game, as of now, seems to be bad-a@@ enough, that I won't be missing out on the few perks with the gold n Ultimate. 🍺
I wonder if anyone else is as concerned with this... even reaching out to EA tech support has yielded nothing in terms of information or results.
Does having a disk reduce time necessary to download the game? If so, that’s an even bigger incentive to get the physical version.
Do the perks of the Gold and Ultimate editions still become purchasable at a later date? For example, if I bought standard and bought the perks of ultimate (mainly the battle pass), would I still be paying roughly the same amount?
I asked GameStop where's the physical gold edition for ps5. They couldn't give me an answer because I hate buying digital versions. I cancelled with them and reordered the standard physical edition through Amazon. I am confused why they expect people to spend a lot of money on a digital gold and ultimate edition. You don't get anything for it except early release. I love steel book editions etc. Horizon Zero Dawn forbidden west has 3 special physical disc editions. Extremely disappointed.

So far there are no physical disc versions available for GOLD or ULTIMATE Editions.
And EA have so far not mentioned either that there ever will be any physical versions of those editions.
The resellers that are selling like a physical pack of the GOLD or ULTIMATE Editions are in reality just postal mailing you an empty DVD sleeve or similar, in which you have a paper with the redeem code printed for you to download from.
