@Ironhead841 Yeah, it all depends on just how deeply they're looking into potential changes to the core of the game. Changing match sizes is a huge change that would require a lot of additional work elsewhere.
I'm no tech wizard, but honestly it seems pretty apparent that the concessions they had to make in design to allow for 128 players, down to the relative lack of any complex geometry in maps and the resulting lack of cover. How much CPU overhead could they save going down to 100 players? I have no clue, but surely it would help them in regards to improving map design and potentially give them more room to address other issues (like netcode/hitreg, but I'm just spitballing here since I have no clue).
