The 40 free pips are just a jumpstart for rewards - the xp threshold starts the same as if you were at 0
either way you start at 2000 exp per "dot"
idk why we go through this every season. premium does not get screwed. the only thing that happens is you get access to first 4 items in battle pass quicker (so to complete battle pass you only need 960 "dots")
premium and non premium are both in the same boat on mastery points. both need 1150 points for T1 and both start at 2000 exp per "dot" and progress exactly the same
exp needed per dot does not go up in relation to the battle pass, it goes up as you complete the exp mission. it has NOTHING to do with your battle pass level or how many weekly missions you have completed. ONLY how many times you have gotten a dot from exp
